Pictures of the boys

We got new pictures of the boys taken recently. I love how these ones turned out. It's a good thing you don't go and get pictures taken everyday. It was quite a chore for mom. But at least it was worth it.

Karter's Spiderman Birthday Party

Karter turned four on the 16th and I can't believe how big he is getting. He had lots of friends and family come. The kids had tons of fun playing games and surprisingly we got them all to eat! It was lots of fun and less work for mom!!! Thanks for all the friends and family that came and celebrated Karter's 4th birthday!!!

Our family was sealed on February 15th at the Salt Lake Temple. It was an awesome experience. Our boys looked like little angels. Scott and his dad actually got to shake hands and talk with President Monson. I unfortunately missed seeing him by about 30 seconds. We had so many friends and family come to support us (many not shown in photo). Thanks to Shannon we have pictures that captured part of our special day, unfortunately she was not in the pictures because of it. The whole day was full of family, friends and many heart filled moments. Thanks to all of you that took off work, left loved ones at home or just took time to spend part of or the whole day with us. You are the greatest!!!

Here are some pictures of Karter's 1st basketball game. It was hilarious. Scott get's pretty frustrated when Karter doesn't want to practice all the fundamentals which is what this team is really for. He sat down on the floor and cried because he just want's to shoot the ball not pass it or dribble. They don't play actual games until next year.

I've been Tagged

I've been tagged by Shannon. She definitely beat me though! These are the things that I have in my purse all the time: wallet, cell phone, lip stuff, calculator, hand sanitizer, & camera (not shown in picture because I was using it). For some reason when I took all the crap out of it this time the most reandom sstuff I had was: guitar picks (they are Karter's because he loves to play his little guitar, he is actually pretty good), form for Karter's basketball pictures, a wedding invitation and also cold pills. I have to say it is a great way to clean your purse out! I am going to tag Lindsay Konold, Lindsay Henderson (not that she will do it), Karly, Tessa, Heather & Nikell!

Happy 86th Birthday

It is my grandma's 86th birthday today. My kids are sick with the flu so I was unable to go and visit her. But was continually thinking of her today. She has had many trials over the last few years since my grandpa passed away. She misses him greatly. We all do but their love for one another was such an example in my life. She had a heart attack a year ago and I am grateful she is here to celebrate this birthday with us. I love you Grandma!!!

President Gordon B. Hinckley

I just wanted to pay my tribute to Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. I think we all learned many things from such a wonderful man. I know for me he reminded me to be a better mother, wife and friend. I am grateful I was able to listen to all his many teachings throughout the last 13 years. I feel that all our lives can be continually blessed if we try to remember even a few things he taught. One of his quotes I feel we can learn from is "Let us all try to stand a little higher, be a little better. Make the effort. You will be happier. You will know new satisfaction, a new gladness in your heart." What a wonderful quote! Scott and I teach the 12-13 year olds at church and I think his 6 B's are a great example for the youth but also to each one of us young and old.

A Prophet’s Counsel and Prayer for Youth
6 B's from President Hinckley

1. Be grateful. Express appreciation to everyone who does us a favor or assists us in any way.

2. Be smart. The Lord wants us to train our minds and hands to become an influence for good.

3. Be clean. We live in a world filled with filth and sleaze. We cannot afford to let it touch us. We should not be disrespectful of the body which the Lord has given us.

4. Be true. Let us be loyal to the Church under all circumstances. The authorities of this Church will lead us in paths of happiness.

5. Be humble. The meek and the humble are those who are teachable.

6. Be prayerful. Look to the Lord for understanding and guidance, and walk according to His precepts and commandments.

A few things I will never forget about President Gordon B. Hinckley
-his teachings of the gospel
-his smile
-his humor
-his cane
-how much love he showed for his wife
-to always stand as a witness of Christ

He will be greatly missed by all. "May God be with you till we meet again."
