Police Academy

I know I shouldn't post this until he is actually accepted...but this is what we have been up to lately. Scott has decided rather than looking for another job in a similar field he really wants to become a parole officer or do swat. What does this mean? POLICE ACADEMY!! If he gets accepted (which we will know in the next 2 weeks) he will start in June and go every night and all day Saturday for 3 months. Then he will get a 4 month break and be at it again for another 5 months!! Single mom here I come.

We are also on the waiting list at another school which would mean he would start in 2 weeks and go straight through and graduate in December!! Yes, I do prefer this one...just to get it done and over with. I will keep you updated...

Party like your from BRAZIL!!!

Our neighbor's invited Karter to their birthday party and every year I realize they throw the BEST parties!! Why you ask...well Roberta is from Brazil and if you haven't been to a Brazilian party i'm sorry. Cuz they are so MUCH fun. They have TONS (and I can't clarify enough about TONS) of food, games and friends. They also sing happy birthday in English and Portugese. Maybe next year I can know how to sing it in Portugese. Karter and Kandon both had a blast...ok and so did me and Scott.

Here is the birthday kids. We hope your birthday's were super special!

Easter

We went to the Easter Egg Hun at Thanksgiving Point this year. It was so fun and the kids had a blast. We went with my sister in law Shawna and my niece Tylie. There was a alot of people but it is so open there it didn't seem that crowded.
Karter did have fun even though the pic's don't really show it.
I don't know why he was so serious, I guess he is sick of my camera being in his face...
Kandon eying all the eggs...
Tylie searching for the "golden egg"...you could win a big filled easter basket
Kandon wanting to join the billy goats
Easter morning...Kandon awaiting his first treat waiting for Karter to open it
He was excited...I think?
Kandon searching for more candy...needless to say
Karter got the mother load and this was only a portion of it...the bag laying on the ground behind him was full...
The Easter Bunny needs to remember we only have two boys!!

"Mom Guess Who's Gonna Baptize Me"?

So a couple weeks ago Karter say's "mom guess who's going to baptize me when I'm eight?" I said "dad"...

Karter says "nope...John the Baptist!!"
It was really cute and funny.

Scott's Biggest Obsession...

Ok besides this...
and this...
This is Scott's biggest obsession....me? Nope

BASKETBALL!! This was the season tournament in our stake and winning this game got them to one game closer to the tournament for the finals...Did they win? Yes. Then they had to play again right after and lost. I'm glad I had to hurry home to get to bed to be to work early the next day! Sorry babe better luck next year!!

Provo Airport Field Trip

Last week we had a field trip to the Provo Airport with Karter's preschool. It was thursday...don't remember? The day it was so windy it could have blow a kid away if you weren't holding on to them. I got out of my car and one of the little girls that rode with me and Karter starting almost running with the wind but not on purpose. We all had lots of fun even between the wind and icy road we had to walk on. Karter enjoyed this plane that was wrecked and found it very interesting. He couldn't believe it! Then as we were leaving I was holding Karter and the little girls hand that rode with me and a big gust of wind came up we all looked as if we were running with the wind...it was really powerful. I can't even begin to imagine a tornado!! I am really grateful I have the opportunity to go to all his field trips.

Some Fun Outside...Between the Cold

I hate this time of year...why you ask? I hate how it is warm one day and snowing the next!! Seriously can it decide which one it wants to be. I can deal with the cold or the warm but I can't deal with the back and forth every other day!
At least my kids can play outside in between. Kandon really looks up to Karter and tried to do everything he does. Karter is so good to him. Sorry for the blurriness...my camera was acting up!

His New Trick...

Kandon's new thing is to climb up on my coffee table and stand up...for real!!? This kid is one I cannot take my eyes off of for two seconds or there is trouble. I never had to worry too much when it got quiet with Karter because he is a self entertainer and usually was pretty good. But Kandon...nope if it's quiet...THERE IS TROUBLE. I found him last week getting into the cleaner in the bathroom upstairs. Let me explain we put child locks on our kitchen cabinets that has the cleaner...but Karter never got into it so we never did the ones upstairs. Guess we need to now. I love this kid but he definately keeps me busy!!

Throwback Thursday Part 1

Here is my throwback thursday (part 1). I have decided to choose some pic's of Karter.

I remember when he was just a baby. He was such a handsome baby!! I loved all the dark hair!
He has always enjoyed the river trail and throwing rocks in the river.
The battle of potty training him...need I say more?!!
He always always been a great help to his baby brother and loves him lots!!
I can't believe how fast he has grown. I am so grateful to have him as my son! (I also LOVE his beautiful BLUE eyes!)
I am getting so scared he will be starting Kindergarten this fall. I can't believe sign ups are in just a couple weeks!! :-(
