I can't even believe Karter started kindergarten this year. It makes me so sad that he is growing up right before my eyes and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I am so proud of him though for being so brave and not crying the first day. I totally expected to have a meltdown and luckily did not. Karter is very sensitive and cries over everything. I knew that if he started crying I would breakdown and cry too. It made it much easier that the school had a safety assembly that the parents of the kindergartners were asked to attend. So I didn't have to just take him into class and drop him off. Although he was latched onto my leg while going to class once we got there he sat by the new friend he had already made and said "Bye mom I love you". So although I never ended up crying I am sad that he is already in kindergarten.

Bridal Veil Falls

We took the kids up the canyon to have a picnic and see Bridal Veil Falls. I'm surprised Kandon didn't get in the water with Karter. Karter looks a little frozen in some of the pics. Then Karter had to throw rocks in the river right by the falls where it is super steep, talk about mom having a heart attack. I think I was so nervous because there was a little girl about a month ago that fell in right there and didn't survive. But beside my heart beating out of my chest it was a great time!

Stung Again

As many of you already know Karter is allergic to bees. A couple weeks ago we had a 2nd scare of him getting stung by a bee. Luckily and much to our surprise he did not react the way the doctor planned and prepared us for. We were told last time we needed to carry an epipen and plan on calling 911 to assure he would be at an emergency room within 2o minutes because he would probably have a difficult time breathing or possibly stop breathing.
I am so grateful that he did not react the way we were prepared for. He was outside playing when suddenly I heard him screaming and crying. I ran to the door to find out that he had been stung. I immediately ran in the house and got some benadryl and the epipen just in case. I was advised not to use the epipen until there was obvious signs of difficulty breathing. I called the doctor and they told me to watch him for an hour. I did, and thankfully he only swelled a little bit. I still carry my epipen just in case but pray I never have to use it!!

Salem Days

This is for Karly...she has been waiting too long and I would like to keep my friends so here you go.

We went to the Salem days with the Chase fam. I have to admit it was the best parade ever...why I got 2 potted plants and a t-shirt plus the kids got TONS of candy! No parade I know gives away plants. All i can say is they better plan on the Jones fam ever year now.
This is a raspberry picker...I have never seen one before so I had to take a pic of it...
The kids waiting for the parade to start
Karly and her flower basket...
Karter in the dunk tank
Jeff and Scott waiting to dunk Trey and Karter...
Trey in the dunk tank
Kennedy...she is the sweetest thing ever!!
Karter during the parade
Kandon doing his own thing during the parade
Jeff and Scott entered the ping pong tournament and had a lot of fun...
Scott takes ping pong pretty serious
Jeff takes it way serious too...
Needless to say neither of our boys won the tournament but they advanced until almost the end... Great job boys!!

Cowabunga Baby!!

If any of you have NOT been to Cowabunga Bay...you are missing out!! This is my new favorite place. The boys love it and it is a blast. This was one of the times we went this summer for my friend, Angie little girl's birthday party. Oh so fun!!

I love these girls
Me and Zoe and Me and Angie
So he thought he was the King of the world!!
The kiddos...

Lava Hot Springs 2009

I have totally procrastinated and haven't posted in FOREVER!! So here is some updated of our summer...

We went to Lava Hot Springs over the 24th of July. It was awesome. We camped, played games, swam and tubed down the river. Kandon and Karter loved tubing the river. Kandon amazed me and didn't even cry or should I say Karter since he is usually my boy that does. We all had a blast and had a hard time coming home!!

This is Karter nad a girl he met at our campground...Morgan
They were so cute together and Karter looked forward to seeing her every morning...(yeah I'm in trouble) Before she left she came and got Karter's number it was funny when she had the same last name as us...and come to find out she lives in the Salt Lake Area.
I'll just say...trouble!!
Riding in the back of the truck to go to the top to tube down again.
Kandon was so wore out this is how he took a nap on afternoon...poor kid!
Ok, don't ask...This was in a garbage can right on top...are you kidding me!!?
The river...and no me and the kids or my parents did not go down those falls...but Scott did!
Scott on his excursion himself...he couldn't talk us into going down those falls so he went alone!
Me and my boys...don't mind the hair!!
Cookie camping...and Scott in the background laying out...in the shade?
Be back next year!!

Officer Jones!!!

Scott got accepted into Salt Lake Community College's Police Academy today!! I am so proud of him. This has been a long battle for him. There is a test that you have to take prior to getting accepted and he failed it twice. It tests in grammar, math, reading and incident report writing. Each section you must get 70% or higher to pass the test. The first time he failed grammar 60% and math 60%. The second time he failed just grammar at 65%. The third time...HE PASSED with and overall score of 84% (90% in math, 84% grammar, 85% reading and 95% in incident report writing)! He had went to UVU to apply last week but was still waiting on the test results so he was placed 1st on the waiting list. Rather than us pressing our luck we decided he should apply at SLCC and not chance waiting for someone to cancel or not show up at UVU the first day of school. He had an appointment at SLCC today and got accepted. So until the end of next April you will see my hubby in nothing but
This...and this...Ok not dressed like a doll but dressed in uniform...

and doing this...
That is IF you see him since he will work all day and go to the academy all night until 9:30. I know all the hard work will pay off. Scott doesn't really want to be an officer, he wants to do SWAT but probably will end up being an officer for awhile until he can get on SWAT!! Congrats babe...I am so proud of you!!

Fourth of July!!!

I have to admit the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I love it!!! I love Christmas too but there is something I love so much about the 4th of July. Here is some of what we did to celebrate our FrEeDoM!!!

Here was some of the fun we had before the 4th. Scott, George and I put on a pretty good fireworks show. I was impressed by our abilities!!

Ok so now I get to VENT...I had a bunch of other pics that were of my kiddos having a blast for the fourth. Well guess what, they got deleted off my camera before they got downloaded to my computer. Oh i'm so bugged but what can you do, right.
Of course we went to the parade and we went to the Stadium of Fire. Karter had to see Jonas Brothers and he LOVED it. It was a blast but I wish I had all the pic's.

Karter's Tee-Ball

Karter played tee ball this year. It was so cute to watch. Everyone hits and bats and there are no outs. They basically learn the concept of the game. He had lots of fun. Every time we go by the ball field he played at he says "mom that is where I play ball". He had tons of fun.
You've gotta love the pink helmet...he hesitated putting it on it was pretty funny!!
